Professional Summary
|
| Davy Liu’s passion for his work was instilled in him from the very beginning. His family immigrated to the United States from Taiwan when he was just thirteen. He found refuge during this transition in his natural talent – art – as he struggled to adapt to the new culture and language. At twenty, he graduated from the Ringling School of Art and Design in Florida. Liu was recruited by Disney Animation immediately thereafter, and worked on such feature films as Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin and The Lion King.
Liu also has professional experience with Warner Brothers Studios and Industrial Light and Magic. Liu is producing an animated film, The Giant Leaf, which tells the story of Noah’s Ark from the animals’ point of view, revealing God’s salvation, not just for mankind but for all creation. He enjoys traveling to China, where he leads tours, gives workshops, and finds new subjects and inspiration for his painting. Liu maintains a dynamic, public, working studio and gallery in Laguna Beach, California. |
